Oman’s vast mineral resources are still relatively untapped, with large deposits of metals and industrial minerals waiting to be unearthed. Oman’s mountains host intact and exposed ophiolites, which are likely to contain metal deposits such as chromite, cobalt, copper, gold, lead, magnesium, manganese, nickel, palladium, platinum, silver, vanadium, and zinc. Over the past decade, Oman’s mining industry has attracted increasing interest from both foreign and local operators.
U.S. Ambassador to Oman Marc J. Sievers will host a webinar along with speakers from the Public Authority of Mining, Ithraa and a local operator, explaining the opportunities for small, medium and large U.S. companies in Oman’s mining and minerals sector. Register below to learn about the exciting opportunities and challenges for U.S. companies looking to enter Oman’s growing mining sector.
